Yes — you should complete the self-paced materials before the Saturday lecture, and the labs before the Wednesday lab session. Week 1 just started today, so there is still time.

No — they cover different content. Lectures are on Saturdays (11am–1pm WAT) and cover the week's core concepts. Coding labs are on Wednesdays (7–9pm WAT) and are hands-on practice sessions.

Wednesday labs are strongly encouraged but are not part of the certificate requirements. If you miss a lab session, you will need to work through it on your own.

Lectures are every Saturday starting June 6, labs every Wednesday from Week 2. There are separate Zoom links for Saturday lectures and Wednesday labs — both were sent to your registered email after you completed onboarding registration.

The attendance form opens every Saturday and closes the following Friday. Link: attendance form. Note: attendance does not open until Saturday June 6 — the first lecture day.

The programme expects all participants to report their attendance honestly. The form is based on trust — misreporting affects your team and the integrity of the cohort.

Labs are hosted on Google Cloud Skills Boost. You are encouraged to go through them before the Wednesday lab sessions. Labs are run on Google Colab: colab.research.google.com

Yes, you can use other notebook environments. Google Colab is recommended because it requires no setup and runs in your browser for free.

Yes, you can self-pace through the materials. However, the team can only answer questions and provide support relevant to the current week's content.

Yes. Courses 1–4 are covered in Cohort 10 (16 weeks). Courses 5–8 will be covered in Cohort 11.

No special hardware is needed. Everything runs on Google Colab and Google Cloud Skills Boost — a regular laptop or desktop with internet access is all you need.

Yes, if you are willing to put in the work. Start with the refresher courses linked in the onboarding email — Python, Linear Algebra, and Probability. They will help you follow along from day one.

A certificate of completion from TRI AI Saturdays. To qualify you need at least 60% lecture attendance, complete the SLM challenge lab, submit all four cohort challenges as a team, and participate in the final capstone project.

Yes — if you complete Cohort 10 and receive a certificate of completion, you will be eligible for Cohort 11, which covers Courses 5–8.

The curriculum is very detailed — Courses 1–4 alone take 16 weeks to cover thoroughly. Splitting across two cohorts ensures you build a genuine understanding of each topic rather than rushing through it.

Groups will be assigned in Week 2 and you will be notified by email. Projects are group-based and start in Week 5.

There will be several topics to choose from. You won't have completely free choice, but you will have options. More details will be shared in Week 2.

There are no direct internship placements through the programme. However, the knowledge and projects you build here will strengthen your portfolio and help you in your future job search.

Google DeepMind experts designed and developed the curriculum. During the cohort, you are supported by our facilitators and instructors who will guide you through the material.

No. The only official community channels are Discord and the Google Groups mailing list. Please use those for all questions and discussions.
